2014 Charities

For its entire 26 year history, the Lawrence St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee has dedicated itself to benefiting local children's charities in Lawrence and Douglas County. The Committee has raised over $750,000 for a wide variety of institutions in the area, and it does so as a completely volunteer-driven organization.

For 2014, the Committee is pleased to announce this year's charitable beneficiaries:

Bikers Against Child Abuse
Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. BACA exist as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. Working in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children, BACA sends a clear message to all involved with the abused child that this child is part of the BACA organization, and are prepared to lend physical and emotional support to them by affiliation, and through physical presence.


Baby Jay's Legacy of Hope
To assist local families with expenses incurred while battling childhood cancer. Baby Jay's Legacy of Hope was named in honor of Jayden Souter, who battled childhood cancer for two years before losing her battle at the age of five. Her parents, Erica and Jason, vowed to work tirelessly in assisting other local families in the effort to ease financial stress during a time of great emotional stress.


Camp Bromelsick Foundation
Camp Bromelsick supports and promotes the personal health, conservation, and leadership. We are 100% volunteer organization. All monies are put in to projects are used to benefit youth.
