Volunteers
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade and events supporting children’s charities in Douglas County, Kansas could not happen without dozens of unpaid volunteers who love our community and support all these annual events.
Volunteers meet throughout the year to plan events. During the months of January, February and March of each year, our volunteers put in hundreds of hours to make our events and parade some of the best fun you can have while raising money for a good cause.
These volunteers include: 11 board members 30-50 committee members who attend weekly meetings to plan and organize events during "parade season" from January to March each year 3-6 Queen Candidates who work with local businesses to promote our events Representatives from our Charities 100s of volunteers who work at our many events
